Privacy notice

 We are dedicated to protecting your personal data and ensuring your privacy. This privacy notice explains how we collect, use, and protect your information in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). 

 

The Data Controller of your personal data in connection with e-learning is DFDS AB, Sydatlanten 10, 418 34 Göteborg (further: “Data Controller”, “We”).

Data Collection We collect personal data such as your name, employer company name and learning activity to provide and enhance our e-learning services.

If you wish to receive the certificate at your e-mail address, you can voluntarily provide your e-mail address. Otherwise, you can download the certificate directly in the tool.


Data Usage
 Your data is used to within the legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR) for the purposes of: 

  •          implementation of the professional qualification process, organization and conduct of trainings, maintaining a history of trainings received, 
  •          provide access to E-learning courses,
  •          communicate with you about course updates and support,
  •          analyse and improve the learning experience.

Data Sharing We do not share your personal data with third parties except as required by law or to provide essential services (e.g., technical support). If we share your data with third party entities such as external providers that carry out services on our behalf, e.g., IT support, administrative services, platforms and service providers, trainings providers, etc., this is done according to the written data processing agreement.  


Retention rules Data will be kept for the time necessary to fulfil the purposes for which the data was collected or for the period required by law. Personal data will be processed in the system for the period of employment or working for DFDS.


Data Security We employ appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.


Your Rights
 You have the right to request information about the personal data that is processed by us, the right to rectify and erase your data, the right to restrict the processing of your data and the right to transfer your data.   You also have the right to object to processing your data for our legitimate interest.

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a relevant supervisory authority if you believe that processing your data violates data protection laws and regulations.
